Medicines are probably one commodity with an endless demand so entering this industry would be a great investment opportunity. However, with more and more investors exploring this industry, the competition in pharmacy is just getting stiffer. This explains why some pharmaceutical companies exert extra efforts to promote their products. They give away major prices like plasma TV’s, gift checks, Greece holidays, laptop computers and cash prices.

These types of promotions are usually done for over the counter medicines or medicines which do not require prescriptions for you to buy. This is how companies steal customers from their competitors. I actually shifted from one brand of medicine to another because of the great promo that it offered. Though I didn’t actually win the promo, it urged me to buy and try the product. Being able to use the product and satisfied with its results, I now use it even though it no longer promises any prize.
